The Washington Association of School Administrators (WASA) Doyle Winter Educational Leadership Scholarship Winner is AnnRené Joseph.

AnnRené is a Seattle Pacific University (SPU) doctoral student and Washington State Arts Program Supervisor. She has over 32 years’ experience in education and will complete her doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at SPU by 2011. The $1000 scholarship is well-earned!

AnnRené Joseph also won the Washington State Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa (PDK) Great Teacher Award for 2009.

Carl Clausen is the recipient of the 2009 PDK-Washington Great Teacher Award for Visual Art. He currently teaches Drawing and Painting at Newport High School in Bellevue and directs the Teaching Academy for Bellevue Public Schools. He is a facilitator for candidates going through the process of National Board Certification.
