
Stuart Davis Memorial Scholarship Winners 2011
The WAEA 2011 Stuart Davis Memorial Scholarship for high school seniors drew many applicants from around the state. Once again the high quality of artistic achievement seen among the applicants was impressive. After an extensive evaluation, two applicants were chosen.
Justan Baca of Tahoma Senior High School was sponsored by Jennifer Gosnell his Art teacher. He will receive $500 toward tuition at the Art Institute of Seattle in the fall.
Jessica Morgan & Clayton Jacks of Stanwood High School was sponsored by teacher, Gail Merrick. Each will receive $300 payable to the school of their choice in the fall.
This next year you will again submit your applications digitally. We are trying to encourage more students and teacher sponsors so look at the website as to when to submit. Applications this year will go back to an application deadline of March 31, 2012. You will no longer be mailed the application but must be proactive and put it on your calendar.
