Washington EALRs
Essential Academic Learning Requirements
and
Grade Level Expectations

The arts documents are created to provide clarity and specificity that includes: Grade Level Expectations (GLEs) for each arts discipline for K-12 learners, the Evidence of Learning (EOL) that will demonstrate the GLEs, and specific examples that students can do to demonstrate they can meet and exceed state EALRs and CBPA expectations of each GLE and EOL. These "draft" documents provide a full picture of the expectations for the visual arts and will eventually include possible resources, "live links", and CBPAs in a clear design and consistent format. This design and format provides content that is clear, rigorous, research based, and aligned to state and national standards, while utilizing the visual art vocabulary.
