Advocacy requires that we continually teach the public in deliberate, sustained ways what students have learned in the process of creating original artworks! (quote from Texas Art Education Association)

US Department of Education Secretary Rod Paige
sent a 2-page letter to all school superintendents urging them to preserve arts education. The letter reaffirms the arts as a core subject, encourages the use of federal funds to support it, and includes useful Web links for resources and for advocating arts.
