The Fundred Dollar Bill Project
A unique artwork made of millions of drawings. Student's drawing will be part of a giant performance and collective creative action!
This is a national project intended to support the rebuilding of New Orleans by making the environmental conditions safer for its residents. The "artworks" created by your students will be collected by armored truck and delivered to The Federal Reserve and Congress in Washington D.C. where an even exchange of the value of their art currency for actual funds or services will be requested.
The project is appropriate to introduce social studies, political science, or art and design. Ultimately we hope your student's contribution will demonstrate that their creative actions can make a difference. If you have a student from New Orleans this project can be a method of reconnecting with their home in a positive and tangible way.
A simple lesson plan is available for download on the FUNDRED DOLLAR BILL PROJECT website: http://www.fundred.org/. Password: Paydirt. .

My Place
February 24 – April 22, 2007
Pictures from the 2007 reception
Last year’s annual student exhibition, My Place, encouraged students to explore commonly held ideas, beliefs, and assumptions about community, land, home, and national identity. Participating students focused on identity of a physical place as well as one's role or position within that place or the world. With guidance from their teachers, they explored how contemporary artists address the idea of place through the Frye exhibition Life After Death: New Leipzig Paintings from the Rubell Family Collection.

2008 State Flag Celebrating the Arts!
Design a state flag in celebration of the arts---music, drama,
fine art, and dance. The selected design will be professionally
constructed and forwarded to the Youth Art Month Gala Event in
Washington D.C., March 2006, along with other state flags. The
Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) will also
use the design to promote the Annual High School Art Show in
the spring.
