The Washington Art Education Association (WAEA) exists because of its members.

​The vitality of the association depends upon a broad base of leadership and those who attend our events.

​WAEA invites YOU to become an Active Member and join our effort to promote quality art education in Washington State.

By joining you will receive all member benefits of both WAEA and the National Art Education Association (NAEA).

​Membership starts when you enroll with NAEA and is good for one year from that date. Membership is accepted all year long!

WAEA MEMBERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP
Is the $95 fee keeping you from joining WAEA? Consider applying for a
​Mileage to Membership Scholarship. 

The WAEA board is excited to offer a Membership Scholarship. 

Donations provide scholarships for potential members, for whom the $80-$95 fee is a barrier to participation, to receive a free year of WAEA membership.

Scholarship awardees are expected to actively participate in the WAEA during their free membership year. This could include attending board meetings, regional in-person events, presenting at the annual Fall conference, or writing an article for Splatter Magazine.

Before you apply, be sure you have looked into other resources for funding, such as your building or district professional development funds, PD grants, a school district foundation or even your school’s ASB.
(If you are the sponsor of a National Art Honor Society club, often times your ASB will pay the NAEA Dues as part of the club fees.)
