Looking in From the Outside,
Oil pastel, collage paper, 26"x19.5",
Things are never what they seem. The theme of the piece is based around perceiving a private moment in someone’s life by seeing only a sliver of their emotions. The boy, moving away from the background, represents the duality between what can be observed versus what he is feeling, which cannot always be accurately discerned by an observer. The cool tones of the boy’s skin indicate that he might be perceived as melancholy, when in reality, he is overjoyed (as indicated by the background and the hints of orange in his skin). The color gradient in the background symbolizes moving from one emotion to a completely different one as life takes place.

Vibrant Emotions
Medium- Digital
Size- 10 x 7.5

I created this digitally using procreate so I could use the variety of brush types the app offers. I wanted to experiment with and symbolize how I feel different emotions, what they feel like through the style and where I feel them.

Wide Leg Chap Transformers

Pants completely built and blueprinted by me.
Zippers hide pleats that can make pant leg wider,
Hook on pants allow the length to be brought up.
