Facilitated by Becky Broyles with a panel of artists (you guys) sharing their favorite technique or strategy while we all paint or make art!

Join us with whatever medium you are working on and carve out some time to make TOGETHER! We will share techniques and strategies on how to practice your art and how to transfer that to teaching others... as we work together CREATING ART! Let’s explore our steps from ideation, to planning, through some creation, and end with some shared feedback loops. All are welcome! No experience required... Gather some painting or drawing materials, find a cozy space, and come collaborate!

Welcome!

WAEA wishes to welcome everyone present. We begin this and all of our meetings with an acknowledgement of our purpose - our organization's mission and vision. We take this time to remind ourselves of the importance of our singular charge to create, foster, and advocate for visual arts and visual artists through education, professional development and advocacy. We also acknowledge the enormity of our task and pledge to maintain our focus. We know and love the power of art to help people heal, to truly know themselves and those around them, to become more complete people, and we happily offer our time and effort to bring that power to all Washington students.

We are here for each other. We are here for the students. We are here... for the ART.
Every Month the NAEA offers Virtual Workshops.
The WAEA will offer Clock hours for those workshops as well.
