Schack Art Center is excited to host an exhibition of educators' artwork from all over Washington State in conjunction with the Washington Art Education Association Fall Conference in Everett, WA. All current, preservice and retired: classroom educators, museum professionals, teaching artists, and art education professionals are invited to submit artwork.
Artwork on Display Oct. 17 - Nov. 11, 2023 @ Schack Art Center in Everett, WA. Please read the following submission instructions: Completely fill out this form before the submission deadline September 15, 2023 @ 9 PM Artists may submit up to 2 artworks. You must complete a new form for each artwork submitted. Useful information: Eligibility All classroom educators, museum professionals, teaching artists, and art education professionals are invited to submit artwork. Important Dates September 15, 9 PM: Entry Deadline September 20: Notifications emails October 1, Artwork delivered to Schack October 17-November 11: Exhibition Open October 20: Opening Reception 6:30-8:30 Entry Fee NO SUBMISSION FEE, FREE to enter. Media Artists are encouraged to enter (but not limited to) all media of 2D and 3D art. Size limitations may apply per circumstance. This is a juried exhibit with rules for submission and standards for acceptance. Not all submitted work will be accepted. Conditions Please enter work that is ready to be displayed in a professional gallery. Two-dimensional work must be suitably framed to gallery quality standards, wired and ready to hang. No fast or clip frames of any nature will be accepted. Oversized pieces will be accepted at the discretion of the jurors, dependent upon available display space. Schack Art Center reserves the right to refuse any work it deems unsuitable (size, value, fragile nature, etc.), or any work that is not identical to the digital image. Selection Procedure A maximum of two pieces per artist may be submitted for jurying. All entrants will be juried from digital images. Awards will be judged from the original works of art. Image Requirements - Up to 3 jpgs/jpegs may be uploaded for each entry - Images must be a minimum of 600 pixels on either side (length or width) - Images should include artist name, title, medium, and dimensions Accepted Works Work must be delivered to the gallery, unpacked, labeled, with prepared paperwork on Saturday September 30 , 10- 2 PM. Shipped work must arrive by Sunday October 1 by 4:30 PM, via UPS and FedEx only. Work must be shipped pre-paid in a sturdy and reusable container. Artists are responsible for all insurance of their work to and from the Schack Art Center. In order for work to be returned, a pre-paid return shipping label must be enclosed. The Schack Art Center reserves the right to photograph entries for the purposes of documentation, education and publicity. Non-Liability While every precaution will be taken to insure the safety and security of artwork, the Schack Art Center will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any piece.
